So i’m not usually one for personal exposure but for encouragement here’s:
'The story of determined stubbornness.'
So at 15 I told my teachers I wanted to study psychology they told me I would never be able to write a ‘proper’ essay, so I learnt to write the best I could and got the grades.
At 17 after being diagnosed with a rare brain condition Doctors and Teachers said I’d never be able to cope with school and i should drop out, so I stayed and went to Uni.
At 19 after a huge operation doctors said if i can even function fully again its very unlikely I can return to uni, so I learnt to function the best I could and returned to uni.
At 20 after developing acquired dyslexia and short term memory problems, I was told again to leave uni, It was unlikely that I would graduate, so
At 22 on 10th July 2013 I graduated with a 2.1 in Psychology and Sociology.
Goes to show, sometimes stubbornness pays off. NEVER give up on your dreams no matter if the route isn’t the usual and everyone around you can’t see what you envision.
Couldn’t have done it without the support of my family and friends and faith in the Most High.
